 Minutes of August 11th, 2022 Monthly Meeting

The August 11 ,2022 monthly meeting of Fairfield Township was called to order at 5:00 PM by Chairman Phil Yetzer.  Also present were Supervisor Brian Glenz, Supervisor Les McCoy, Treasurer Kathy Hachey and Clerk Marianne Auge.

The Pledge of Allegiance was said.

The agenda was reviewed. Brian made a motion to approve the agenda and Les 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously.

The minutes of the July 12, 2022, meeting were read.  Les made a motion to approve the minutes and Brian 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously.   

The treasurer’s report was read. Les made a motion to place the treasurers report for audit and Brian 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously. Kathy said the ARPA account has $37,446.18 in it and the Source Well account has $1329.22

Public comment:

New Business:  Les said we will have to find a snowplow driver. Les said Ryan would train the person we hire. The clerk will write up the ad and put it in the C-I Courier, The Northland Press and the township web site. Les will put the ad on the workforce web site.

Road Maintenance: Dust control is done. We will keep checking for beavers. Road mowing is done. We still have clean-up to do from the storm. There is still some work that needs to be done on the holding pond.

Les said it would cost about $500.00 per load of crushed granite to go around the garage apron. Les will call Knife River and order it. Les said it would be good if we got it when it is raining so it packs down good.

Go North: Kathy said they are still working on the recycling project. Kathy is going to Ideal Corners to look at the recycling area.

The cemetery brochure is being worked on.

Phil said he would get a list of property owners on West Adney Lane that we should send the letter to regarding the right-of-way that the township doesn’t have at end of West Adney Lane.

Correspondence was read.

Bills were read. Les made a motion to pay the bills and Brian 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously.

Brian made a motion to adjourn and Les 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously.   The meeting adjourned at 6:30 PM.
