 Minutes of December 14th, 2021 Monthly Meeting

The December 14, 2021, monthly meeting of Fairfield Township was called to order at 5:00 PM by Chairman Phil Yetzer.  Also present were Supervisor Brian Glenz, Supervisor Les McCoy, Treasurer Kathy Hachey and Clerk Marianne Auge.

The Pledge of Allegiance was said.

The agenda was reviewed. Les made a motion to approve the agenda and Brian 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously.

The minutes of the November 9, 2021, meeting were read. Phil made a motion to approve the minutes and Brian 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously.

The treasurer’s report was read. Brian made a motion to place it for audit and Les 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously. Kathy said the Sourcewell account has $1490.16 in it and the ARPA (Covid) Fund has $18,604.13 in it.

Mark Scholle asked permission to go through the township property on Tower Road if he buys the tax forfeit land from the county. He said he would also need to get permission from Luke Spalji. Mark said there is an old logging road going through both properties he could use.  The township supervisors said they had no objection to Mark going through the township property if he buys the land. The clerk will call and let Mark know the supervisors’ decision.

West Adney Lane: Les said the survey is done and he would like them to go back in the spring to put pin markers in. Phil said he thought we should give a copy of the survey to Mark Wessels so he knows where the township property lines are. Phil said we will need to get an easement from Hagen’s. Les will talk to Mark Wessels.

Les said he talked to Russ about the placement of the Dangers Road sign on Moritz Road and it will be fixed in the spring when the ground is thawed.

Kathy asked if the January meeting could be changed to January 18. After some discussion Phil made a motion to have the January meeting Thursday January 13 at 5:00 PM at the town hall and Les 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously.

Go North:  Kathy said there may be some grant money available for the recycling program and it is being checked into. The recycling would cost approximately $9899.00 for building the dumpster and $600.00 for each monthly pick-up, delivery and getting rid of the recycled items.

Garage addition: We still need to build the Wastewater Pond, but we have 2 years to do it.

COVID Policy: Kathy said she would redo the COVID Policy.

The water test is done.

Correspondence was read.

Bills were read. Les made a motion to pay the bills and Phil 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously.

Phil made a motion to adjourn and Brian 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously.   The meeting adjourned at 6:03 PM
