Minutes of February 8, 2022 Monthly Meeting
The February 8,2022 monthly meeting of Fairfield Township was called to order at 5:00 PM by Chairman Phil Yetzer. Also present were Supervisor Brian Glenz, Supervisor Les McCoy, Treasurer Kathy Hachey and Clerk Marianne Auge.
The Pledge of Allegiance was said.
The agenda was reviewed. Phil made a motion to approve the agenda and Les 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously.
The minutes of the January 13, 2022, meeting were read. Les made a motion to approve the minutes and Brian 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously.
The treasurer’s report was read. Les made a motion to place it for audit and Brian 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously.
New Business: The clerk asked the supervisors to make a resolution assigning the polling place for the 2022 elections. Les made a motion to have the voting for Fairfield Township at the Fairfield Town Hall located at 35430 State Highway 6, Emily, MN 56447. Brian 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously.
Garage addition: We still need to build the Wastewater Pond, but we have 2 years to do it. Brian said he had a discussion with Russ about the holding pond. Les said he did some research on the flam trap. Les said we can pump the water on the ground. If the trap needs to be pumped, we will have to call a company that takes care of the waste in it.
Go North: Kathy said they are still working on the recycling program.
COVID Policy: Kathy said the policy is done and we will go by state guidelines. Brian will talk to Tim about doing COVID cleaning once a month at the town hall. .
The clerk asked if the March monthly meeting could be changed from Sunday the 6th to Thursday the 10th. Phil made a motion to hold the March monthly meeting on Thursday March 10, 2022, at 5:00 PM at the Fairfield town hall and Les 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously.
The clerk presented the agenda to the supervisors for the annual meeting on March 8, 2022 at 4:00 PM. Les made a motion to approve the agenda and Brian 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously.
The clerks and treasurers report for 2021 were audited. Phil made a motion to approve the repots and Les 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously.
Correspondence was read.
Bills were read. Les made a motion to pay the bills and Brian 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously.
Les made a motion to adjourn and Brian 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 6:24 PM
