Minutes of January 10th, 2023 Monthly Meeting
The January 10 ,2023 monthly meeting of Fairfield Township was called to order at 5:00 PM by Vice-Chairman Les McCoy. Also present were Supervisor Brian Glenz, Treasurer Kathy Hachey and Clerk Marianne Auge. Phil Yetzer joined the meeting later.
The Pledge of Allegiance was said.
The agenda was reviewed. Les made a motion to approve the agenda and Brian 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously.
The minutes of the December 13, 2022, meeting were read. Brian made a motion to approve the minutes and Phil 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously.
The treasurer’s report was read. Phil made a motion to place the treasurers report for audit and Les 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously. Kathy said the ARPA account has $35652.77 in it and the Source Well account has $1277.03.
Road Maintenance: The clerk said the project costs from Crow Wing County for Crack Sealing Bonnie Lakes Road and the roads under Fairfield Township jurisdiction off Bonnie Lakes Road is $12,493.90. Les made a motion to accept the construction cost share agreement between Crow Wing County and Fairfield Township (CP 18-200-132) and Phil 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously.
The clerk said the township received some e-mails and a call from John Bowen about the township’s cost for tree and brush removal from the snowstorm. Les said he would call John Bowen about a plan for the cost for the work that will need to be done in the spring to clear the downed trees and branches.
Les said there is nothing new on beavers this winter. Les said the guys are working on brush clean-up and tree removal for downed trees from the storm.
Brian said the furnace in the garage is working fine now and the clerk said there was no charge from Joe’s Heating and Air for the repairs he made.
The cemetery brochure is being worked on.
Correspondence was read.
Bills were read. Les made a motion to pay the bills and Brian 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously.
Brian made a motion to adjourn and Les 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 5:50 PM.
