 Minutes of July 13, 2021 Monthly Meeting

The July 13, 2021, monthly meeting of Fairfield Township was called to order at 6:00 PM by Chairman Phil Yetzer.  Other board members present were Supervisor Les McCoy, Supervisor Brian Glenz, Treasurer Kathy Hachey and Clerk Marianne Auge.

The Pledge of Allegiance was said.

The agenda was reviewed. Phil made a motion to approve the agenda and Les 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously.      

The minutes of the June 8 ,2021 meeting were read. Les made a motion to approve the minutes with the correction and Brian 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously. The correction was to take the extra word motion out.

The treasurer’s report was read. Les made a motion to place it for audit and Brian 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously. We have $27,134.00 in the checking account so Brian made a motion not to transfer $50,000.00 from the ICS account to the checking account and Les 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously.

Public Comment:  None

The clerk said we received an e-mail from Over the Hills Gang, 4-wheeler club asking what we would like the speed limit to be on Dam Road for the -wheeler trail. Discussion was held and Brian made a motion to set the speed limit to 15 mph and Les 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously. The clerk will let the Over the Hills Gang know.

Les said he hasn’t heard anything on blacktopping for West Adney Lane.

The clerk said she got an e-mail about beavers on Goodrich Lake plugging up the culvert. Les said he would ask Russell to check the culvert.

Garage addition: Brian said we have cement work that needs to be done. Russell is buying flashing to put on the garage. Les said we still need to dig a pond for watershed. Les said Andy Moritz has the plans for how the watershed pond needs to be done.

Kathy will order the cemetery brochure. She said the cost would be about $150.00.   

Kathy said IRRRB would like to do an article on the Kiosks. Kathy said we need to put the back on the Kiosk and paint it blue and then center the Bulletin Board.

 Correspondence was read. The clerk read a letter from Lakes Gas on pre-buying propane.  The clerk will check the price from other propane companies before the next meeting.

Bills were read. Les made a motion to pay the bills and Brian 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously.

Phil made a motion to adjourn and Les 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously.   The meeting adjourned at 7:25 PM.
