The June 9, 2024, monthly meeting of Fairfield Township was called to order at 5:00 PM by Chairman Phil Yetzer. Other board members present were Supervisor Les McCoy, Supervisor Molly Swaggert, Treasurer Kathy Hachey and Clerk Marianne Auge.   

The Pledge of Allegiance was said.

The agenda was reviewed. Phil made a motion to approve the agenda   and Molly 2^nd the motion and it carried unanimously.  

The bills were read. Les made a motion to pay the bills and Molly 2^nd the motion and it carried unanimously.

The minutes of the June 11, 2024, monthly meeting were read. Molly made a motion to approve the minutes and Les 2^nd the motion and it carried unanimously.

The treasurer’s report was read. Molly made a motion to place it for audit and Les 2^nd the motion and it carried unanimously.

Phil said he got a call requesting a bigger culvert between Goodrich and O’Brien Lakes. Phil said he talked to Jake Frie from the DNR and Jake said he didn’t think the township needed to put a bigger culvert between the lakes.

Old Business: Molly said that Warren Lundquist hauled the soil to the cemetery, and he would like to donate it to the town ship.

Les said has talked to someone about the heavy equipment operator position.

Les said removing the culverts on Moritz Road has been put on hold.

Phil made a motion to change the August 15, 2024, meeting time from 5pm to 6 pm.  Molly 2^nd the motion and it was carried unanimously.

The clerk said the primary election is August 13, 2024. The polls will be open for voting from 10 am to 8 pm.

Go North: Kathy said   Sketches of Minnesota that is coming to Emily for dinner and a comedy improv show on July 26, 2024, at 5:00 PM at Emily City Hall.

The clerk said there is a PERA zoom meeting on July 11, 2024, at 11 am that she would like to listen to. Phil made a motion to approve the clerk to listen to the meeting and Les 2^nd the motion and it carried unanimously.

Correspondence was read.

Molly made a motion to adjourn and Les 2^nd the motion and it carried unanimously.

 The meeting adjourned 5:55 PM.
