The July 14, 2026, monthly meeting of Fairfield Township was called to order at 5:00 PM by Vice Chairman Les McCoy Other board members present were Supervisor Molly Swaggert, Treasurer Kathy Hachey, and Clerk Marianne Auge.
The Pledge of Allegiance was said.
The agenda was reviewed. Les made a motion to approve the agenda and Molly 2nd the motion and the agenda was approved.
The bills were reviewed, Molly made a motion to pay the bills and Les 2nd the motion, and it carried unanimously.
The minutes of June 9 ,2026 meeting were read. Molly made a motion to approve the minutes and Les 2nd the motion and it carried unanimously.
The June 2026 treasurer’s report was read, Molly made a motion to place it for audit and Les 2nd the motion and it carried.
Public comment. None
Old Business: Kathy said she would have the cost of Clean-up Day put on the web site, so residence know what the townships cost is for Clean-up Day. Kathy will wait until we get the bill from Emily Roll-off to put the cost on the web site.
Road maintenance: Culverts are on hold until later.
The clerk said she got a call from the county asking if we had $4000.00 in clean-up costs from the storm to apply for state aid. She told the county we didn’t have $4000.00 in clean-up costs.
Les said Township Road 114 sealcoat is completed.
The clerk said she got a call from a resident on Bonnie Lakes Road about a pothole on the road. Les said Tim will get some cold pack from Crosslake to patch the hole.
New Business: The clerk said Marlys Mongan told her the toilet in the town hall wasn’t working very well on the 4th of July. Tim said he thought it was plugged, Les said he would try to run a snake down it to see if he could get it unplugged.
The clerk reminded the board that the August meeting is on Thursday August 13, 2026, at 5:00 PM because of the primary election on Tuesday August 11,2026,
Correspondence was read.
Molly made a motion to adjourn and Les 2nd the motion and it carried.
The meeting adjourned 5:46 PM.
